DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION: THE MISCONCEIVED VALUES OF TODAY'S SOCIETY

Nowadays companies are talking about diversity. They want to prove to the public they embrace diversity and have made inclusivity one of their core values. Before we continue unravelling our thoughts, let's think for a bit. What is currently defined as diversity and inclusivity? --- Diversity: the practice or quality of including or involving people from a range of different social and ethnic backgrounds and of different genders, sexual orientations, etc. Inclusivity:  the practice or policy of providing equal access to opportunities and resources for people who might otherwise be excluded or marginalized, such as those having physical or mental disabilities or belonging to other minority groups. --- In a perfect society, diversity and inclusion would mean letting any person enter, or the chance to enter, a group of people. In such a world, we would not even think, nor be preoccupied, of other people's color, way of dressing, sexual orientation, gender, among many many others....

DIOR SS21 FASHION COLLECTION | FASHION DESIGNER Maria Grazia Chiuri | A Mystical essence with various references | OutLoud

Fashion brand Dior, SS21 collection by Maria Grazia Chiuri. A dark feminine world screaming for its freedom!

A Ritual, a Show, a Legacy, a New Era. What do you see there? It is the Dior show. The creations meant for spring/summer 2021 by Maria Grazia Chiuri.

Mysteryyy...! So much mystery. You like that?

The experience.

Merely the Sequenza 9.3 vocal performance was enough to make you feel a part of something bigger. Although their unexpected ''screams'' did put me off at times, it was surely worth listening. And what was this 19th century song all about, anyway? Apparently, those poor women were expressing their newly felt feeling of freedom, after their men were put into prison. Fuckk...right?

The dark, sacred atmosphere was further enhanced by the work of Lucia Marcucci. An italian artist who created the visual collages placed on those cathedral stained glasses.

You hungry, yet? Vamoooss for the main course! Clotheess. Leading a new era of home quarantine, Dior's essence was interpreted with a looser sillouette ready to be worn in the comfort of your own home. You bet you will..! The italian designer, Nanni Strada, definitely contributed towards these vibes.

Caravaggio (1603) - Sacrificio de Isaac

We witness influences from Virginia Woolf, Lucia Marcucci and Caravaggio, with the latter one also being the main inspiration for the S/S 21 Dior social media campaigncaptured by Elina Kechicheva. Images that for sure entice us with their beautiful and conceptual use of light and color, and the imposing use of set and props.

You want to see Dior SS21 for yourself? You want to pick the outfit of your nightmares? Riiight...?

Then click here. Now like and subscribe..! Just kidding... Nothing to do that to.... yet..! 😉😃 Just comment below the number of the outfit you wouldn't mind Dior sending you!

Till next time... ba baiii!
