OutLoud is a fashion blog created out of love for fashion brands and designers. It must have all started when I was little, since I was raised in a fashion store. Years later, I did my studies in fashion and started working in the field. Soon, I decided to create OutLoud and do my part the way I know best. Nowadays companies are talking about diversity. They want to prove to the public they embrace diversity and have made inclusivity one of their core values. Before we continue unravelling our thoughts, let's think for a bit. What is currently defined as diversity and inclusivity? --- Diversity: the practice or quality of including or involving people from a range of different social and ethnic backgrounds and of different genders, sexual orientations, etc. Inclusivity: the practice or policy of providing equal access to opportunities and resources for people who might otherwise be excluded or marginalized, such as those having physical or mental disabilities or belonging to other minority groups. --- In a perfect society, diversity and inclusion would mean letting any person enter, or the chance to enter, a group of people. In such a world, we would not even think, nor be preoccupied, of other people's color, way of dressing, sexual orientation, gender, among many many others....

What did the MaxMara SS21 collection trigger in me? What feelings did Ian Griffiths accomplish to fill me with? Who is asking? Who is there?
Weeelll... I would have to say Optimism, Serenity, Peacefulness. A sense of Effortlessness, Style and Practicality.

To begin with, the prevailing color palette is one of my favourites... and that my frieeendss iiiiss...
Natural Colorrrss!
Yayy! Ochre, umber, sienna, and touches of pastel colors, such as mint and peach. Is that a nature festivity, or what?
In other words, earthy colors in nude shades that bring as a sense of safari... Wouldn't you fancy riding your elephant, now, with your fab, cute and stylish MaxMara outfit? Noo...? You liaar...! 😜
Please, don't get desperate! Soon enough, my friend, you are gonna be able to book your flight, pack your bag, put on your red lipstick, and live the dream. Which leads uss to... Optimism...! Another sense this show gave me... Maybe it was the background music, maybe the amount of beauty, maybe the colors, maybe I finally slept well... Who knows? It just put me in a good place! I could hear the collection saying to me:
''It's all gonna be ok, sweety. We are going to make it through these times and come back again with elegance and style. That's what we do.''

The inspiration? Renaissaaaanceee, baaabyyy! 👌 Long slashed sleeves, blousing, gathered or straight necklines, across from shoulder to shoulder, like a cinquecento portrait...

Apparently, the clothes were also given length and, some of them, quite a large amount of kangaroo pockets, too! I meaaan... even the necklace purses were not enough to compete with those pockets... you get the clothing and it's like you get a bag, too! Are these pockets ever gonna be used? Mmmm...
Two more things stuck in my mind... 1. Location and 2. Mona Tougaard.
The location seemed atmospheric and definitely to-the-point, in terms of brand. It was the courtyard of the Pinacoteca di Brera. An ancient Milan gallery and art school that holds works by Raphael, Bellini, Caravaggio, Titian, and more.

Now, Mona Tougaard...💓 Do you know her? You'd better have a look here. For me, she is the best version of the perfect model, in current times. She is capturing, so unique, and she incarnates essential parts of diversity. A perspective the fashion industry needs, and should definitely work more on. Okayy, okaayy... steps have been made... but there is still much to be done!
